About Chef Brad Kilgore

Meet The Chef

Chef Bradley Kilgore, a Kansas City native, began his culinary journey at the Broadmoor Technical Center and Johnson & Wales University before launching his career at Michelin 3-starred restaurants Alinea and L2o in Chicago. He quickly rose through the ranks, opening EPIC as Executive Sous Chef, which was named one of the Best New Restaurants of 2010. After moving to Miami, Kilgore worked at the acclaimed Azul in the Mandarin Oriental—Florida’s first Forbes 5-star restaurant—and later at J&G Grill in the St. Regis Bal Harbour under Jean-Georges Vongerichten, where his team earned the only 4-star Miami Herald review that year.

In 2015, he opened his first concept, Alter, in Wynwood, earning national acclaim with a progressive American menu focused on Floridian ingredients. Alter received 4 stars from the Miami Herald, Eater’s Restaurant of the Year, and a James Beard nomination. Kilgore was named Food & Wine’s Best New Chef and continued his success with BRAVA at the Adrienne Arsht Center, Kaido and Ember in the Design District, and MaryGold’s, a Floridian brasserie. He currently oversees Verge at The Concours Club and leads bespoke dining at the exclusive Raleigh Sales Pavilion in Miami Beach, continuing to elevate South Florida’s culinary landscape with innovation and precision.
